Office Receptionist – MaxProfSA Job Vacancy, Gauteng

MaxProfSA has an exciting opportunity for an Office Receptionist to manage our front desk and perform a variety of administrative and clerical tasks. The company is based in Pretoria East.


1.   Office Reception

  • Welcomes visitors by greeting them, in person or telephonically, answering or redirecting inquiries.
  • Answering, screening, and transferring of calls efficiently and professionally
  • Ensure the timeous pass-on and follow up of messages.
  • Maintains telecommunication systems together with the IT department.
  • Maintains safe and clean reception area by complying with procedures, policies and regulations.
  • Provides refreshments to visitors when required and arrange with the cleaning staff to prepare refreshments for visitors.
  • Manage the Boardroom and Meeting room bookings.
  • Report any problems to building maintenance regarding the office bathroom facilities.

2. Administration/Tender Administration

  • Updating the company and staff telephone list.
  • Copy, file and maintain paper or electronic documents and records as required.
  • Scan and Archive old files.
  • Assist the Supply Chain Manager with Tender Documents.
  • Registering and or completing documentation relation to the registration on individual municipality supplier databases.
  • Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries.
  • Assist with arranging of documents that need to be couriered.
  • Assist the marketing team in organizing events for the staff when required.


  • Matric Certificate
  • Proven work experience as a Receptionist, Front Office Representative or similar role
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, and Excel)
  • Professional attitude and appearance
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills
  • Multitasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Willingness to learn and to grow with the company
  • Able to contribute positively as part of a team, helping out with various tasks as required.


  • Basic Salary: R 10,000.00 – R 12,000.00 per month.
