We provide Technical & Managerial support with regard to reactive maintenance and planned preventative maintenance on plant and equipment, within the service level requirements.
Duties & Responsibilities / Site Specific Objectives
- Ensure all electrical equipment is installed and maintained on site, in compliance with all laws and regulations pertaining to Electrical Installations
- Ensure that all installation work is performed using Best Operating Practice, i.e. installation of conduit and pulling cables
- Interpret plans, sketches, wiring diagrams, and specifications
- Undertake planned maintenance tasks allocated by manager
- Undertake re-active maintenance tasks and repairs allocated by the manager
- Ensure that work areas are left in a clean and tidy manner after completion of work
- Responsible for the safety of any assistant working on site
- Report any items which may endanger the safety of anyone
- Ensure workshop is kept clean and tidy
- Request quotes from suppliers, appointing suppliers, ensuring completion of work
- Carry out regular supplier reviews and inspections
- Provide assistance and support to team as necessary
- General awareness and knowledge of the following services, in order to manage them: Air conditioning, Generator, UPS, Power Factor Correction Unit, Kitchen Equipment, Cleaning/Hygiene, Landscaping, Waste, Pest Control
- Assist in keeping workplace tidy and presentable.
- Quality Control of all maintenance activities
ISO 9001; 14001 & 18001 – Quality, Environmental and Health & Safety Standards
- Adhere to the TFS’s Safety, Health, Environmental and Quality (SHEQ) Management System’s Policies & Procedures of as applicable to this position.
- Any reasonable action requested by management.
Skills and Competencies: 3 – 5 years’ experience
- Good knowledge of electrical fixtures, fittings, repairs and maintenance thereof;
- Familiar with instrumentation related to electrical installations and building management systems
- Excellent theoretical and practical technical skills on electrical installation
- Understanding of maintenance programs for electrical installations
- Understanding of electrical installations in large buildings
Qualifications: Grade 12
- N3 Maintenance Electrical qualification with wireman’s licence
